We have been part selecting the winner pitchers from a strong field of student led business for the Rocket programme working alongside Chris & Helen from Start Up Republic.
This is the UK’s first student business accelerator scheme designed and delivered in collaboration with leading figures in the start-up community.
Tom Morley set up and runs Instant Teamwork provides, what we can say, are high quality, highly creative and high energy drumming led workshops. We had the joyous time collaborating with Tom on our The V&A touring exhibitions team Away Day, December 2015. We literally needed to get creative as a team at 8am in the morning as we joined together to move 50 djembe drums from outside The Royal Opera House in his van to upstairs in the swiftest time as possible… creative thinking, team work (almost instantly) and lots of good humour came up with our creative solution… play the film
The team are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and are great at bringing in new opportunities into Open To Create… to show case our work. We have big love for the CEWE team!

Petra Hilgers & Anna B. Sexton formed the East London Creative Business Women’s Network in October 2012 out a real need to support creative women, including themselves. The network is blossoming and meets monthly on the last Monday of each month.
Anna B. Sexton had the pleasure of supporting Herman Stewart with the bringing together of his top selling book ‘Every Child Needs A Mentor’. A book that champions the very heart of Herman’s vision with a call to all adults to consider the power of being a mentor and what can be done to give every child the start in life they deserve. Our vision is to be able to offer creative and high quality training to as wider groups in our local communities as possible. Long term we are seeking out relevant accreditation for our creative learning and coaching programmes so our learners can create the steps they want into further learning pathways, work placements and employment.
Open To Create… co-delivered as series of creative workshops and one to one coaching sessions with local women who are residents on the Aberfeldy Estate, Poplar, East London. The programmes were part of the Healthy Living project as part of Well London Aberfeldy targeted work.

Thanks to the ladies of UEL Centre of Excellence for Women’s Entrepreneurship (CEWE) Open To Create… were able to co-curate TEDx Newham in May 2013. It was such an amazing privilege to part of the process working with Margaret Manning and her team at The Crystal, Royal Victoria Dock and the whole co-curation team.
